We’re facing this as a family, but it’s moving faster than we expected.”
The couple’s raw honesty moved everyone in the room to tears. Arrow’s young children were also present, adding to the emotional weight of the moment.
Jai Arrow has been one of the most consistent and respected forwards in the NRL since making his debut for the Brisbane Broncos in 2016. There is currently only one approved drug in Australia that can modestly slow the progression of the disease. Research into better treatments and a possible cure remains critically underfunded.
Arrow’s diagnosis has brought renewed attention to the fight against MND, with several high-profile NRL figures already pledging donations and support.
