Kyle Busch Exposes NASCAR’s Deadly Secret—This Rule Could End the Sport Forever

In the world of fierce speed of Nascar, where only a small mistake can be changed by life, all details in the law are vital. But recently, Kyle Busch – one of the most powerful and personality riders in Nascar history – has shook the racing village when publicly criticizing a “deadly secret” that he thought was being ignored by Nascar. According to Busch, a seemingly harmless rule has the potential to destroy the future of this whole sport.

What is “dangerous rules”?

In the recent interview after the recent race, Busch frankly referred to the speed of speed limit in the Pit Road area. The current regulations force riders to maintain accurate speed in this area to avoid collisions with the technical team. However, Busch revealed that Nascar is applying the “ancient” monitoring method based on the revs (RPM) instead of the GPS accurate speed measurement system.

Busch said that this calculation is not only transparent but also creates a dangerous space. Just a small deviation, the driver may accidentally exceed the limit, opposite the penalty or worse than causing a fatal accident in the crowded pit area.

“This is no longer a fair thing in competition,” Busch emphasized. “It is a life safety issue. We are playing with fire, and Nascar just pretends nothing.”

Why is Nascar silent?

Many experts believe that Nascar maintains this law because it helps maintain the “drama” on the track. The riders must weigh each RPM when entering the pit creating thrilling moments, where a small mistake can decide the whole race. However, Busch refused: “The audience wants to see the speed competition, not witnessing someone losing his life just because of the outdated calculation system.”

In addition, there is also an opinion that Nascar does not want to invest in a large cost to change technology infrastructure. However, with billions of dollars in revenue per season, this reason is considered by many people as “sophistry”.

How does the community react?

Immediately after Kyle Busch spoke, the wave of debate broke out violently on social networks. A part of the fans supported Busch, saying that he bravely exposed the problem that was hidden for so long. A series of comments emerging:“Nascar needs to listen to the riders, but cannot despise their lives like that.”

On the contrary, some people think that Busch is “inflated” to attract attention. A fan commented:“Kyle always likes shock. If this law is really dangerous, why does it have existed for decades?”

But no matter how controversy, it is undeniable that Nascar now has to face the question directly: Is the current law really safe?

Trigger if Nascar ignores

Busch warned that if Nascar continued to “ignore”, just a serious accident occurred in the pit area, the consequences could cause the entire sport to wobble. In an era where the image and social responsibility are increasingly important, a tragedy caused by the outdated law can lose the trust of the audience, sponsor, and even cause the government to intervene.

“We cannot wait until someone dies to change,” Busch said.

What will Nascar do next?

Currently, Nascar has not made an official response to Kyle Busch’s statement. However, the increasing public pressure forced this organization to be silent for longer. Experts predict Nascar may be forced to research and test the speed measurement system with modern GPS or sensor, in order to prove that they still put safely first.
