YES Network cut away from President Donald Trump at an awfully suspicious time during the New York Yankees–Detroit Tigers game on Thursday night.
The President attended the Detroit-New York game at Yankee Stadium to commemorate 9/11. Officials and authorities put in extra security measures for Donald Trump following the horrific assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk, placing the POTUS behind bulletproof glass and assigning snipers from elevated positions.
During a break in the game, the YES Network broadcast cut to Trump standing in his upper-level suite. But as cheers and applause for Trump grew louder, the TV broadcast cut away from Trump to promote Yankees tickets for 2026.
This is a different reaction than the one Donald Trump got at the 2025 US Open, where he was heavily booed by the crowd. And when a video of him meeting with Triple H was shown at WWE SummerSlam 2025, the crowd loudly booed.
Donald Trump Has Attended Plenty Of Sporting Events During Second Presidential Term

Trump has received endorsements from high-profile athletic figures like Jack Nicklaus, Brett Favre, Roger Clemens, Lawrence Jon Gruden, Mariano Rivera, Mike Ditka, Jay Cutler, Antonio Brown, Darryl Strawberry and Herschel Walker.
Trump has also received a plethora of political donations from sports team owners, including Robert Kraft, Stan Kroenke, Arte Moreno, Shad Khan, Jimmy Haslam and Woody Johnson.
