“HE IS VERY STRESSED” Bagnaia’s wife – Domizia Castagnini made a heartbreaking revelation that made many MotoGP fans worried when the Ducati rider is going through the most difficult period of his career 🥲

Recently, many MotoGP fans have been deeply concerned after Domizia Castagnini, the wife of Ducati’s star rider Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia, revealed that he is going through “very difficult conditions” — a personal admission that sheds light on what may be the most challenging phase of his racing career so far. The revelation comes amid worsening performance, internal pressure, and public criticism, painting a troubling picture for the Italian champion.
Domizia’s disclosure came after another weekend MotoGP that ended in disappointment for Bagnaia. According to social media posts attributed to her, his performance has not only been not up to expectations, but the emotional toll is real. Fans reacted with sympathy and alarm, realizing that what looked like setbacks on the track are mirrored by stress off it.

On the racing side, the facts are stark. Bagnaia has struggled to find pace with the GP25 model, especially compared to other Ducati riders. At the San Marino Grand Prix, for instance, Bagnaia failed to score any points — finishing 13th in the sprint and crashing out of the race while running in eighth. It marked only the second time this season he left a weekend with zero points.
Besides that result, a recurring theme is the bike’s behavior, in particular issues with braking and corner entry. Bagnaia himself has admitted that when he tries to brake hard, either he cannot stop the bike as needed or he overshoots the turn, and when he brakes more gently, he suffers in cornering. He says the trade-off is putting him in a limbo: neither fully controlling the bike nor being aggressive enough.
Team management has also expressed concern. Ducati’s general manager Gigi Dall’Igna publicly stated that his patience is running thin over the string of poor results. At the same time, team boss Davide Tardozzi told Bagnaia that he must “help us to help him” — essentially emphasizing that while some of the problem may be technical or mechanical, Bagnaia also needs to adapt, push through, and find his mental rhythm again.

The contrast is also clear: his teammate Marc Marquez continues to dominate, while Bagnaia has yet to reach the consistency he had in previous seasons. The Italian champion has not been on the podium since early July, and his results have declined more sharply in recent races, increasing pressure from both media and within Ducati itself.
So what appears to be happening is a combination of factors: a difficult bike-setup, perhaps one not suited to his preferred riding style, technical shortcomings (especially in braking and corner-entry), and mounting mental pressure. Domizia’s revelation shows that this is more than just a sporting issue — it’s affecting Bagnaia personally. The emotional burden of expectations, setbacks, and criticism seems to be weighing heavily on him.
Despite all this, Bagnaia has not given up hope. He has expressed determination to keep working, to analyze the data, to understand what is wrong and to regain his confidence. But as many have pointed out, this kind of problem is not solved overnight. When form declines, it doesn’t only take physical fixes but psychological resilience.
Many fans are hopeful that Bagnaia will find a way through — that Ducati will support him with the right technical upgrades or set-ups, and perhaps more importantly, give him the space to rebuild mentally. This season might yet end better than many expect, if Bagnaia can harness what remains of his championship-winning spirit and translate it into performance on track.
Meanwhile, what Domizia has done is to humanize the struggle. She reminds everyone that behind the helmet and the speed, there is a person under immense pressure. And knowing that is painful — but perhaps it’s also the first step toward a turnaround.
