Mallorca, Spain– On September 18, 2025, Rafael Nadal – “tennis king” with 22 Grand Slam titles and a record 14 Roland Garros championship – once again proved that his heritage was not only on the field. After officially retired by 2024, Nadal spent most of his time on charitable activities, especially through Rafa Nadal Foundation that he co -founder since 2008. With a strong commitment to using sports as a social transformation tool, Nadal not only donates millions of euros but also directly participating in projects to help disadvantaged children in Spain, India and Global. Today, British Foundation announced the Solidarity Calendar 2025 calendar, a special fundraising product, marking a new step in the mission of “Building a quality future” for the younger generation.

Starting the charity journey: from the ground to the “playground life”
Rafael Nadal is not a luxurious sports star but only knows personal glory. Since 2008, when he was at the peak of his career, he founded RAFA Nadal Foundation with the mission of using sports and education to support vulnerable children. “Sports is not only a win, but a way to change his life,” Nadal once shared in a speech at Laureus Sport for Good Award in 2024 – the award that he received for the fifth time, for the first time for charity. Foundation has helped more than 1 million children around the world, from building schools to organize education tennis programs.

One of the outstanding projects is Nets (Nadal Education Tennis School) in India, where Nadal directly flew to visit children in Anantapur in 2023. Here, Foundation has built sports centers combining education, helping thousands of children from poor families approach tennis as a learning and self -development tool. “I see myself among those children – resilience and desire to rise,” Nadal said when he handed scholarships to 500 children on the nearest visit.
Outstanding projects and global cooperation
Nadal’s foundation does not stop at the Spanish border. In 2023, they signed a cooperation agreement with UNESCO through the “Fit for Life” project-a sports program to recover after Covid-19, promoting integration and health for global youth. María Francisca Perelló, wife Nadal and Foundation, signed an intention to Gabriela Ramos (UNESCO General Director of Social Sciences and Humanities), committed to using Tennis to achieve UN Sustainable Sustainable Development goals (SDGS) of the United Nations by 2030.
In Spain, Foundation operates the vulnerable child support centers at Palma de Mallorca, Valencia and Madrid. The “More Than Tennis” project – where children with intellectual disabilities from schools around the country gather to play sports – have become a symbol, attracting thousands of participants. Nadal regularly participates in events such as the Olazabal-Nadal golf tournament or the “Millor Junts” charity race in Palma, where he runs with his family and fans to raise funds. In 2024, these events donated more than 2 million euros, enough to expand the new center in Mallorca.
Most recently, in September 2025, Foundation launched “Rafa Nadal’s Foundation Wall Solidarity Calendar 2025” – a high -class wall calendar, printed on Premium black paper with personalized sticker, manufactured by Nostrum Integra Social Company. All revenue from the calendar (cost about 20 euros) will support projects, and Nadal has posted photos on Instagram: “Let’s turn together every day into opportunities for children.” This product is not only a collection item but also a reminder of the missation’s mission: “Sports and education are social transformation tools.”
Post -retired heritage: Nadal – Not just the champion
After hanging the racket at the Davis Cup Finals 8 in 2024, Nadal – now Marquess of Llevant de Mallorca (the title of aristocracy was awarded by King Felipe in 2025) – spending almost the full time on charity. He participated in global campaigns such as cooperating with One Drop (2018) to provide clean water for millions of people, and support Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. With a total value of 10 million euros, Nadal is not only a “tennis king” but also a symbolic symbol, praised by the Spanish nobles for “combining classical values with modern.”

The reaction from the international community is very positive. UNESCO called Nadal “The global inspiration,” while fans on X (Twitter) shared: “Nadal not only defeated the opponent – he defeated poverty.” However, Nadal modest: “I only do what my heart tells. Children are the future, and we have to invest in them.”
Rafael Nadal’s charity journey is a testament to the real glory in the field. With Foundation continue to expand, “tennis king” is writing a new chapter – a chapter on kindness and hope. If you want to participate, buy 2025 calendar or support via Rafanadal.org. Nadal did not play anymore, but his mission was still “serving” constantly.
