Jasmine Paolini expressed his views on Sinner and Alcaraz
The Italian tennis player has reached the final of Roland Garros and Wimbledon 2024, currently regularly participating in the top 10 in the world. Not only impressive play, Paolini also paid special attention to the peak performance in the male content.

In 2024, both Sinner and Alcaraz won two Grand Slam titles, while Alexander Zverev was the only name in the final of one of the four major tournaments.
This story reminds of the 2023 season, when Sinner ascended the throne at Australian Open and US Open, and Alcaraz won the Roland Garros and Wimbledon championships. That dominance continued to recreate in 2025, when two young stars met three times in the big finals, creating a level of embankment that experts predict would be very difficult for anyone to squeeze in the 2026 season.
However, what makes many people curious not only lies in achievements, but also in personality and style in the field. Paolini, with the perspective of a contemporary athlete, shared his personal impression of these two leading competitors. She said:
“They have very different personalities, are two completely separate players but bring the same emotion and excitement to the audience on the field. Their level is really high. It is the difference that makes the confrontation between them more attractive. Both are polite, respect the opponent, smart and always play at the top level.”
The Italian female player also compared himself to two male colleagues: “On the pitch, I often excited and laugh, so I feel like Alcaraz. But I really like watching Jannik play because he always puts pressure from the end of the yard. With personal experience when playing, observing how Jannik moves and organizes the fighting style also helps me learn more.”
While Paolini expressed his admiration, Alcaraz had just closed the tournament in Tokyo with a convincing championship. The Spanish player only lost only one set on the coronation journey, before passing Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 in the final. Shortly thereafter, he decided to withdraw from Shanghai Masters – the tournament that Jannik Sinner was the championship.

Sinner was exempted from the first round and defeated Daniel Altmaier in the second round to win the right to meet Tallon Griekokoor. Before the absence of Alcaraz, Sinner frankly said that every player has the right to choose the appropriate schedule:
“For me, last year I also missed a few prizes because I thought it was the right decision for my physical and mental. This year I did not play in Toronto or Montreal. Sometimes you need to remove a few prizes. Although the Masters 1000 is considered mandatory, but in the end you still have the right to choose the best schedule for yourself. I have and will always prioritize the most beneficial choice.”
